Here’s a few upcoming zine fests; you can find out about others on our events page.

The Richmond Zine Fest will take place on October 11, 2008 from 11am-5pm at The Gay Community Center of Richmond. The event is free to the public and currently the organizers are looking for zinesters that would like to do a reading or run a workshop. The Fifth Annual Twin Cities Zinefest is set to take place on July 12 & 13 at Stevens Square Center for the Arts. Tabling at the event requires a $10 donation however according to the website they are almost at capacity. Email Sarah Morean at zines@stevensarts.org to get on the waiting list. Saturday, June 14, come on down to the 2008 Baltimore D.I.Y. Fest at 2640 St. Paul Street!
 Ready for another round of do-it-yourself workshops? The Second Annual DIY Fest is back in Baltimore! On Saturday, June 14th come to the 2640 Cooperative located at 2640 St Paul Street in Baltimore to learn a new skill or to check out the vendors and exhibitors in the Clark Room. Workshops run every hour on the hour, beginning at 11 in the morning, and ending with the last workshop at 5 PM.Never been to a DIY Fest? The DIY Fest (Do It Yourself Festival) is an annual one day event featuring free workshops of self-sufficient, low-budget strategies for making stuff and doing things. Why should learning important skills always revolve around your wallet???

The 8th Annual Portland Zine Symposium will be on August 23 & 24 at Portland State University in the Smith Memorial Ballroom in Portland, Oregon. Half tables are available for a $10 deposit, and full tables are $25.
