Upcoming Zine Events!

Hello everyone. There are a number of upcoming zine events occurring all over the U.S. and elsewhere in the next couple of weeks, so please check out the events page for an updated listing of events, but before I get to those, do you like contributing to anthology zines? If so, I have a new resource for you.

Compilation Station is collecting submissions calls for various zine projects, so check it out if you’re looking for places to submit!

On to the events:

If you are in the Tampa, Florida area: Check out the Tampa Bay Zine Fest, which will be taking place on Sep. 18 at 7pm at the Globe Coffee Lounge on 532 1st Ave. North in St. Petersburg, FL. For more information, email tampabayzinefest@hotmail.com.

If you are in Portland, OR: Check out the Multnomah County Library’s Zinesters Talking series! A full listing of upcoming events, which are taking place throughout September and October, is available on their website.

If you are anywhere in the Midwest/East Coast, you may be able to catch the Zines on Toast tour featuring an evening of entertainment and information with zinesters from the UK (Rumlad, Last Hours, Hey Monkey Riot and Morgenmuffel) and Portland’s Alex Wrekk (Brainscan and Stolen Sharpie Revolution)! From the zinesters themselves: “Join us for accounts of UK zine culture including stories from Alex’s trip to the UK last year plus tales of the London zine symposium, vegan mass catering, UK social centres, revolution, punk rock, anarchy and more!” The dates are listed below, and for more info, go to their website.
