Write for Zine World
Zine World’s volunteer writers are crucial to our success. We are looking for columns and articles to appear in each issue. Examples of topics include:
- anything related to zines: writing, publishing, creativity, etc. This can include commentary about zine or DIY culture, personal experiences, etc.
- tips or advice about anything DIY. Examples of articles we’ve run in the past include: Bringing Zines to the Community , Zines 101, An Introduction to Mail Art, and Making Paperback Books by Hand.
- zine scene reports. Tell us about what’s going on with zines in your city, state, or country.
- reports from zine fests. Have you attended a zine festival or conference? Tell us about how it went, what you learned, what you liked or didn’t, etc.
Original content or already published materials ok. Contact jerianne@undergroundpress.org with your ideas.
If you’d like to write reviews for Zine World, send us a note about yourself and include 5 sample reviews, following our review format. Please read our reviewer guidelines for more information.
All volunteers receive a free copy of any issue they contribute to. If you’re a reliable, responsible person with lots of enthusiasm about zines and DIY culture, please drop us a note!
