Hello, zinesters! July is International Zine Month! What have you done to celebrate?

I’ve got lots of zine news to share with you!

The Las Vegas Zine Library is open! They’re located at 520 Fremont, and they are ready for business! Check out their website for details about when it’s open and how to check it out. If you’re in the area, go show them some love!

The Portland Zine Symposium and the Independent Publishing Resource Center are hosting the 2nd annual 24-hour zine challenge! The event will take place on July 24 at 10AM-July 25 at 10AM, and it will help support the Portland Zine Symposium. For details, check out the PZS website and email pdxzines@gmail.com to register!

Similarly, Olympia is going to be having a 24-hour zine event as well! The event starts on saturday, July 31st at 5:30pm through sunday, August 1st at 5:30pm, and will take place at the Northern, which is located at 321 4th Ave in Olympia, WA. And lastly, the University of Alabama is looking for submissions/donations for a new archive that will collect zines from Southern authors, and zines about Southern experience. This collection will be housed within the W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library and once cataloged will be available for any scholar or zine enthusiast looking for research opportunities or just a nice afternoon read.
