Zines for Prisoners
Filed Under ZW announcements | 1 Comment
Zine World receives a handful of prisoner requests for each issue. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to send free copies of our zine to every prisoner who requests one. So we’re starting a ZW Prisoner Fund. Please consider donated stamps or cash to this fund, and we’ll use it to send copies to prisoners on a first-come, first-served basis. If you support zines in prisons, I hope you’ll consider donating a buck or five to the cause the next time you send us mail. (You can also donate online, using our Make a Donation button on our ordering page.)
If you want your zine reviewed in the next issue of Zine World (scheduled for release by year’s end), now would be a good time to send it in! Help us out by completing this form and attaching it to your zine. See this page for more info about what we will review. (Note: We recently changed our policy and we now will review zines that provide only email or website addresses for ordering; we’ll be getting that updated on the page soon. We do prefer to publish a mailing address for every zine we review — even if it’s just the mailing address of a distro that sells the zine.)
Also, just a reminder that you have until the end of the month to take advantage of our zinester special on the new ZW. When you mail in your order, you can take $1 off the price if you include a copy of your latest zine! We probably won’t be sending out copies of the zine to distros until the end of the month, so ordering directly from us is the fastest way to get your hands on a copy (unless you see us at the Portland Zine Symposium next weekend, which Jerianne will be attending).

Hi there! My paper, The Caterpillar (which is also available as a remixed DUB of every issue) is FREE for everyone and their uncle to download and print. I would like to share it with those in jail. Can anyone print and distribute a few copies? Or print the flyers – though i doubt if prisoners get internet access so copies of the paper are probably best.
Also, I would be happy if you wish to do a review of The Caterpillar – A Visionary Ghetto Tabloid. One Love, Floydy
